A Teacher/Mom’s Perspective: Why Should a Child Attend a Learning Center?

Mar 11, 2021

Children are such a gift and add so much to families! When my husband and I decided to have children, we wanted to share our happiness and love with them. We didn't give much thought to activities or anything else; our only goal was to give our children the best life we could. I believe that this is what every parent inherently wants for a child; it just looks different for every family based on what's their priorities are. These priorities can include academics, music, athletics, travel, and so many others that are way too numerous to list! Regardless, they are all seen as steppingstones to a child's success.

So, why should a child attend a learning center? A learning center can help create healthy routines and build good habits. When a child goes on to attend university, he or she needs to be able to self-motivate in his or her studies and having long-standing good habits will help! Attending a learning center can also help a child meet his or her personal goals. These goals can include understanding math better, improving reading comprehension, becoming a better writer, or challenging yourself to go beyond the curriculum being taught in school.

Education is obviously important to my husband and me since we're both teachers, and it's because we are so passionate about learning that we decided to open Best Brains Learning Center of Bloomfield Hills. Because we are teachers, we don't view a child attending our center as a business transaction, but rather, we consider every family that joins us part of our family. We take an active role in every child's learning, and only hire certified teachers that truly enjoy working with children. Our system allows teachers to build relationships with the children since they work with the same children weekly which helps build trust and confidence. Best Brains creates engaging full-color material that is non-repetitive, and we have an extrinsic reward system that allows children to earn "money" to purchase items from our display cabinet.

Of course, every learning center is different and has its own strengths and weaknesses, so I would recommend looking at several different centers to see which one is the best match for your family. We hope that our learning center is one that you'll consider. If you're interested in learning more, please feel free to call us to schedule a private appointment to learn more at . We hope to share our passion for education with you soon!
