The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is designed to measure how students think, reason, and solve problems. It is widely used by schools to identify students for gifted and talented programs, focusing on abilities like logic, pattern recognition, and critical thinking—not just what students learn in class.
What Is the CogAT Prep Program?
Our 12 week CogAT Prep program is designed for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with instruction tailored to each grade level.
Students develop skills in:
- Verbal reasoning (word relationships and analogies)
- Quantitative reasoning (number patterns and problem-solving)
- Nonverbal reasoning (shapes, patterns, and spatial thinking)
Each session includes:
- Interactive lessons
- Guided practice
- Take-home exercises to reinforce learning
