Iselin

Marilynn Colon is a dedicated educator and special education teacher with 28 years of experience teaching students from pre-K through sixth grade. For the past six years, she has also been a valued tutor at Best Brains, where she enjoys helping students of all ages and abilities grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals.

Marilynn is passionate about meeting each child where they are and building on their unique strengths. She takes a multidisciplinary approach to learning and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, which she often uses to support and empower struggling readers.

Outside of the classroom, Marilynn enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and especially enjoys vacations at both the shore and the mountains.

I am a dedicated educator who enjoys helping students learn, grow, and build confidence. My teaching experience in public schools has allowed me to work with diverse learners and contribute to supportive learning communities. I am committed to creating engaging educational experiences and making a positive impact on the lives of students.

Teaching has always been my passion. As a K–8 certified mathematics educator, I spent several years teaching in the classroom before pursuing my dream of opening my own learning center in 2016. Since then, I have served as the Center Director while continuing to work directly with students and families.

My goal is to help every child build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and develop a positive attitude toward learning. By combining my experience as both an educator and a business owner, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

I believe that every child can succeed with the right guidance, personalized instruction, and encouragement, and I am committed to helping students achieve both academic success and lifelong confidence.
