I reached out to the programs of Kumon, Russian School or Math & Best Brains when my son was 6 years old. I chose Best Brains for him because the booklets it or uses is very much to my kid's learning style-colorful pictures & fonts, not-too-lengthy description on problems, straight forward direction, constructional syllabus. The instructors are very kind, patient & structural in teaching. The owner Miss Farah is communicative- she is open to listen to the parent & will try to work out a solution for the best interest of the kids. 

I will definitely keep on staying with Best Brains until my kid graduates from primary school. It is a Real Good math program for my son.

I am so glad that I found Best Brains for my kids. Farah is very supportive , patient and encouraging with children. My kid was having difficulty in Math but she always made her feel at ease and she is a great teacher. She is very accommodating and does what is best for kids. The curriculum is kid friendly.

I am writing this review with close to 3 years in hindsight of us working together with folks from Best Brains Cupertino to help/accelerate my kid's growth.


Why we chose Best Brains Cupertino:
Two things that I really care about and put a lot of weight on in decision making are (1) Looking at the students who have been there and seeing if that is where I want my kid to be (2) the Temperament and ethics of the folks involved on day-to-day bases. On the former note, I had seen a few kids of my friends and colleagues really come into the zone and had started enjoying learning. This told about almost everything - the course material, build-up of concepts, frequency of classes and homework, long-term vision and logical breakdown of details, etc. For the 2nd part - after talking to Miss. Farah is was an easy decision (more to follow on why below).

Staff:
Many folks have talked about this in the reviews here, I totally agree with it. I have seen teachers connect so well with kids - I am yet to see someone losing temperament - this was and is super important. When the child feels well supported it works wonders for their learning speed. I must also say that there is a great level of consistency in all the staff - as a parent/guardian you will never have to worry about where your kid ends up.

Courseware:
In my opinion, I think the course materials are pretty awesome, very relevant, well structured, well-illustrated, and seem to have an overall direction. As a parent, I have printed out tons and tons of printouts to help my child orient with concepts - but I was finding it hard to connect the dots - these guys have done it and have done it really well. I am not saying these are the best course-ware ever, I am just saying it does an amazing job in (a) teaching fundamentals of a concept and (b) applying it in the real world. I must say that it is important to sincerely put your kids on a routine.

Showrunner:
Miss. Farah runs the show here at Cupertino. Again, I fully agree with all the reviews here. She is an amazing entrepreneur who has set up a strong culture that fosters learning, creative thinking, discipline and teaches kids to be kind and compassionate (an added bonus!). She attracts and retains well-qualified and compassionate teachers. She was so fast in acknowledging the dynamics of the pandemic 2 years ago and adopting online classes. She is very honest and tells you exactly the level of commitment needed from you to succeed. She runs well-planned programs and executes them flawlessly. Like a Rolex!

Teachers are so underappreciated, especially since the last 2 years have been really hard. Thank you for everything!

My daughter attended Best Brains for two years, and she improved her Language Arts skills in writing and grammar. All the staff, including the principal, were very helpful and flexible. They regularly shared areas for improvement and helped my daughter to do well in school and state tests.

We enrolled both of our kids a couple of years ago. My son, who struggles with traditional school and homework, improved his reading and math skills significantly through Best Brains. We ended up stopping for him only because he started getting homework at school and it was tough to keep up with both for him. My daughter started when she was about 4 and did tremendously well. When she started at 4 years old, I thought it might be too soon but she caught on pretty quickly. There was a lot in the reading books that she couldn't read and we helped but the phonics it taught set her up for success as she got more comfortable reading on her own. She's currently in kindergarten and is mastering the school work very easily. English language is hard and hard to describe the different sounds and why things are spelled a certain way. I honestly learned a lot from the reading books too. For math, I like that it's problem solving based and making them deduce code words to figure out what they're solving. The books have similar format through out the week but the content is different which keeps the kids from getting bored. 

Farah runs an excellent program here and we are really happy with our kids progress here. It's a great way to supplement school. Text here...
