Catherine Sarmento
Hi, I’m Catherine Sarmento. Originally from London, United Kingdom, I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a master's degree in Geography and I also have a bachelor's degree in psychology. Since 2001, I have been teaching in England, Florida, Brazil, and Texas. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for teaching, especially helping students build their reading and math skills. I have a love for teaching and connecting with my students.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, watching soccer, and spending quality time with my family.

I'm Ms. Liu, and I'm thrilled to be working at Best Brains Learning Center - Allen South. With a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Texas Women's University, I'm eager to share my knowledge with students. Teaching and helping others has always been my passion, and I feel fortunate to be able to pursue it here.

With over 13 years of experience in special education across three states, I bring a deep understanding of how students learn differently—and how to help them succeed. I specialize in providing individualized, strengths-based instruction tailored to each learner’s unique needs. My background includes supporting students with diverse learning challenges, partnering closely with families, and building confidence through clear structure, patience, and encouragement. My goal is to help every student make meaningful progress while feeling supported, capable, and empowered.

Hello! My name is Manha, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics/Artificial Intelligence and Political Science. I have several years of experience teaching and tutoring students across a wide range of subjects, including math, coding, and speech and debate. I am passionate about fostering confidence, curiosity, and academic growth, and I look forward to helping your child flourish both inside and outside the classroom.
